Therapy helps you understand and cope with both the practical and emotional impact of ADHD. It helps you develop the skills and mindset needed for a healthy relationship with yourself and others.

Benefits of Therapy

  • Self-worth and confidence
A therapist can help you overcome feelings of shame and inadequacy brought on by your ADHD. They can teach you to reframe your ADHD as a brain difference that, when managed, may serve as an asset in your life.

  • Improved relationships
Therapy gives you a better understanding of how ADHD may affect your relationships and provides strategies for working through interpersonal problems. It’s beneficial for all types of relationships—marriages, friendships, relationships with work colleagues, sibling relationships, parent-child relationships, etc.

  • Support for co-occurring conditions
Many people with ADHD have co-occurring conditions, such as anxiety or depression. A therapist will work with you to address these comorbidities in a way that considers the role that ADHD plays in your life and relationships.

Types of Therapy

  • Individual Therapy
Meet one-on-one with a therapist to explore and resolve difficult emotions and hurdles brought on by ADHD, trauma, work, relationships, and other life experiences.

  • Couples Therapy
Work together with your partner and a therapist trained in helping couples add more understanding, trust, communication, and intimacy into their relationships.

  • Family Therapy
Reduce conflict and find better ways to navigate complicated family dynamics by meeting together (in groups or pairs) with a therapist who specializes in supporting families.

Our Therapists

All of our therapists take a strengths-based approach to ADHD, helping people manage their challenges and harness their strengths.

How It Works

1 . All new clients—both those with and without an existing ADHD diagnosis— begin with an initial evaluation where we assess their needs.

2. We create a tailored treatment plan, which may include further evaluation and diagnosis, regular therapy or coaching sessions, ADHD medication, and/or any of our additional services.

Please note: our intake process may vary slightly from location to location.
